Pantone 16-1546 Living Coral is ‘an animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge’. And in the dark, chilly days of January, we could surely all use an energizing, life-affirming coral hue, no?
Pantone goes on to describe the Colour of the Year as ‘vibrant yet mellow’, ‘symbolising our innate need for optimism and joyful pursuits’ and ‘a nurturing color that appears in our natural surroundings’.
Increasingly import is a colour’s impact on Instagram, and Pantone also notes that Living Coral also ‘displays a lively presence within social media’.
